US Consulate in Hyderabad conducting an online auction for laptops, ACs, furniture and more - here's how you can participate

The Consulate of the United States in Hyderabad is conducting an online public auction for several IT equipment, laptops, furniture, home appliances, CPUs, monitors, printers, air conditioners and other items. The e-auction is scheduled to take place on February 15 and those who wish to participate have to register before February 13.

The auction will be conducted through the website of Accurate Auctioneers, an auction service provider. Bidders must register themselves on the website of Accurate Auctioneers on February 13. The registration will be activated when the bidder deposits a security amount and confirms to the auctioneer, the consulate officials said.

After the registration on the portal, the bidders are required to pay an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 50000 by NEFT/RTGS to the portal’s account number before 4 pm on February 14. The bank account details can be accessed here.

The e-auction will be held on February 15



between 10 am and 12:30 pm and different lot sets will be assigned specific time slots. The list of successful bidders will be released on the auction day itself and they have to make the final payment before 1 pm on February 16.

Those who win the auction can receive their items between February 18 and 25 from the Consulate Office in Begumpet and Taj Krishna in Banjara Hills.

The earnest deposit will be retained or adjusted till all the successful bidder pays for the bids and the EMD will be refunded without deduction to unsuccessful bidders after February 24. If a successful bidder fails to pay the full amount, the deposit will not be refunded.

In an earlier auction conducted in October last year, the consulate sold more than 20 types of items including iPhones, laptops, two-wheelers, LCD televisions, refrigerators, furniture and many other items.
