Union Minister Reviews Anti-Cyber Fraud Measures with Hyderabad CP Sajjanar

Union Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani has held a video conferencing with Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar to deliberate on systemic measures against cyber fraud, the senior police official said on Friday. 

The conference was held on Thursday. "The discussions highlighted the importance of intelligence-led enforcement, inter-agency collaboration and building robust preventive mechanisms to protect citizens," Sajjanar said in a post on

The discussion focused on enhancing intelligence-sharing between telecom authorities and law enforcement agencies, and developing stronger regulatory mechanisms to prevent such misuse at the source - before enforcement intervention becomes necessary, sources said. 

Following the recent action taken against fraudsters engaging in cyber crimes by misusing telecom infrastructure, the minister held a review meeting with officials from the Department of Telecom and Hyderabad Police.
