Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary has suggested to the Telangana Government that a Centre of Excellence be established for Visual Effects (VFX), Gaming, and Audio-Visual sectors in the state, as it will be useful in enhancing the skills of ITI students.
The minister has called on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad last evening and discussed various issues on the occasion. The Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that the state government plans to set up the CoE within the upcoming Young India Skill University, and that the centre will be integrated with various ITIs.
The Chief Minister also
requested the Centre to extend support to the Young India Skill University under the National Skill Training initiative. The Minister requested the State Government to provide free electricity to all ITIs. The Chief Minister instructed officials to set up solar power systems in the ITIs in the state.
Mr Reddy also directed the officials concerned to upgrade the syllabus in ITIs in line with the evolving needs of modern industries and ordered the formation of a special committee for the purpose. Later, the Chief Minister said on an X post that he had a wonderful interaction and a wide-ranging discussion with Jayant Chaudhary.
