At a time when there was short supply of LPG gas, the safety of gas cylinders stored even inside the houses has become a cause for concern as some unidentified miscreants decamped with the two LPG gas cylinders from the house of one Venugopal Reddy in Husnabad in the early hours of Friday.

Reddy’s family kept the cylinder outside the kitchen and inside the boundary wall of the house.

They used the cylinder even on Thursday night. However, the

miscreants jumped over the boundary wall and removed the regulator before taking away the two cylinders when the family was in deep sleep.

Reddy’s wife woke up on Friday morning and tried to light up the stove to make tea, when she found the cylinders missing.

The incident left the residents in the town in shock. Everyone started keeping their cylinders inside the house. Interestingly, the family said that all the valuables inside the house remained intact.
