A group of unemployed youth staged a flash protest at Indira Park crossroads on Monday, demanding that the State government issue a fresh notification for a total of 19,000 police vacancies instead of limiting recruitment to the recently announced 7,437 posts.

The protesters also demanded the government to increase the upper age limit for police recruitment,

alleging that delays in issuing notifications had left thousands of aspirants ineligible after crossing the prescribed age limit.
They called on the government to address the concerns of job seekers and expedite the recruitment process.

On receiving information, the Chikkadpally police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
