Two people arrested for stealing electrical wires in Hyderabad

The Miyapur police have arrested two persons involved in a series of electrical wire thefts from construction sites in the city and recovered 81 bundles of Finolex wires along with a car and a bike used in the offences on Thursday.

The arrested suspects – K Dilip Kumar of Suraram and Nishal Karelkar of Hafeezpet, both working as cab drivers, targeted unguarded construction sites



in and around Miyapur and Gachibowli areas. 

They broke open locks with iron rods and stole electrical wire bundles, which they later sold at scrap shops in Madinaguda and Secunderabad.

Acting on a complaint lodged on October 18 regarding the theft of 25 wire bundles from a building at Nagarjuna Enclave, the Miyapur police identified and nabbed the duo.
