Two arrested for kidnap, rape and murder of minor in Mancherial

Two persons were arrested for allegedly murdering a minor girl after kidnapping and raping her at Dandepalli mandal on November 27. They were produced before the media here on Monday.

Mancherial ACP Rathnapuram Prakash said that Shanigarapu Bapu (50) and Uparapu Sathish alias Satthaiah (40), both from Nambala, were apprehended for involvement in the



kidnap, rape and murder of the girl. They were detained while trying to flee after the body of the girl was found in a well.

During interrogations, Bapu and Sathish reportedly confessed to committing the offence. They allegedly admitted to murdering the girl by dumping her in a well after raping her in a cotton field when she was playing alone near her house.
