Tuition teacher elopes with student

A 20-year-old tuition teacher has allegedly eloped with her 17-year-old former student from the city.The incident that happened two days ago came to light on Friday when relatives of both the teacher and the boy approached the Kamatipura police seeking intervention to trace them. After eloping, the duo is learned to have first gone to New Delhi.

Maharashtra and will reach the city within a day,” said Kamatipura Sub-Inspector Ravi, quoting the relatives.

The police said the woman used to take tuitions for the boy when he was in Class 10. Even after joining a junior college, he reportedly maintained contact with her over mobile phone. Two days ago, they disappeared from their homes.“As per our information, both the teacher and the boy are safe,” Ravi said adding a woman missing case was already booked based on a complaint lodged by the teacher’s father.
