Following the imposition of night curfew in the State, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will operate its last service in Greater Hyderabad Zone at 9 pm.

According to RTC officials, the city services will be operated only between 5 am and 9 pm. However, incoming buses coming from other places will be allowed to respective depots even after 9 pm.

V Venkateshwarlu, Executive Director (GHZ), said all services after 9 pm were cancelled in the city till April 30. “We will follow government orders and take measures for the

safety of passengers,” he said.

On seating capacity, he said the city buses are hardly registering 45 per cent of occupancy for last few weeks. Even if government implements 50 per cent of occupancy, there will not be a much change as number of passengers travelling by buses has came down due to a sharp spike in Covid-19 cases, Venkateshwarlu said.

According to him, RTC is operating 2,800 buses in Greater Hyderabad and these buses will not be reduced, except for cancellation of the last services.
