Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has introduced battery-operated vehicles to ferry passengers from Central Bus Station (CBS) to Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) free of cost. The Service will be available every day from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

TSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director (MD) V. C. Sajjanar started the initiative to make commuting easier for passengers who switch between CBS and MGBS.

“It was an arduous task for many to travel from one bus station to another as they had to walk with heavy luggage or take an autorickshaw. The initiative will benefit thousands of passengers. Apart from the driver, the vehicle can ferry a maximum of 12 persons,” said senior TSRTC driver

Sivudu.

The service can be availed directly. Though the service would be available to all the passengers, priority would be given to senior citizens, patients, pregnant women, the elderly, and the disabled.

TSRTC is now planning to expand the service at every major bus station across the city.

Meanwhile, TSRTC on Wednesday has changed its website to www.tsrtc.telangana.gov.in, which is said to be more user-friendly. The old website has been revamped and updated with the latest information.

The management has requested people to visit this newly revamped website and send their valuable feedback and suggestions for further improvement.
