TS govt sanction 22,000 new beneficiaries under Aasara

The State government on Friday accorded sanction for release of pension to an additional 22,000 beneficiaries under various sections.

Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Jupally Krishna Rao directed the officials to sanction the pension amount for the newly identified beneficiaries from March.

He also directed that anyone



eligible for State government pension should be identified and proposal sent to the government through the Village Revenue Officers (VRO) concerned after approval of the Tahsildar.

The newly sanctioned pensions benefit 10,000 widows, 6,204 old-age people, 2,998 physically challenged, 2,308 HIV affected, 156 handloom workers and 335 toddy tappers.
