Govt. of Telangana released Rs. 411, 60, 67, 000 as the instalment for the first quarter of the financial year for the Department of Minorities Welfare.
 
In charge Secretary of the Department of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Ajay Mishra issued G.O. Rt. No. 76 on 30th April with instructions to Director of the Department to distribute the amounts among various Minority institutions.

It may be mentioned that out of Rs. 2 crore allocated for Center for Education Development of Minorities, Nizam College, OU, TS Govt. issued Re. 1 crore. Due to presentation of interim budget, Govt. allocated less amount for Minority institutions this year. It allocated Rs. 1.25 crore for Dairatul Maarif and Rs. 3 crore for TS Christian Finance Corporation, Re. 1 crore for Haj Committee, Rs. 20 crore for payment of honoraria to



Imams and Mauzzins, Rs. 5 crore for Urdu Academy, Rs. 3 crore for construction of Urdu Ghar and Marriage halls, Rs. 2 crore for Urdu computer centers under Minorities Finance Corporation, Rs. 18.75 crore for Iftar party, Rs. 16.50 crore for Christmas festival, Rs. 7.50 crore for pre-matric scholarships, Rs. 2 crore for Telangana Study Circle, Rs. 1.75 crore for Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden repair works, Rs. 62 crore for payment of post matric scholarships, Rs. 24.41 crore for bank linked subsidy schemes, Rs. 25 lakh for Survey Commissioner of Wakf Properties, Rs. 202.87 crore for Minorities Residential Schools Society, Rs. 6.25 crore for T prime and TZ, Rs. 3.37 crore for training and employment schemes.

In this manner, Rs. 411, 60, 67, 000 have been released.
