Truck Carrying Plastic Material Caught Fire In Shamshabad

Traffic on the busy National Highway 44 at Shamshabad was affected after a truck laden with a load of plastic material caught fire on Friday early hours. No casualties were reported in the fire incident.

According to reports, the truck was on its way from Hyderabad towards Bengaluru when a sudden fire started in the front portion of the truck. On noticing it, the driver and



cleaner jumped out of the cabin. The truck was engulfed into flames within minutes.

The local people who saw the fire tried to douse it with available water resources and a municipal tanker arrived to put off the fire. On being alerted a fire tender reached the spot and doused the fire. The truck was later towed away to the roadside from the highway with the help of a crane.
