A traveller who arrived in the city from Pune was conned and forced to pay a higher fare by a cab driver who ferried him to Gachibowli.
The man took to ‘reditt.com’ , to narrate his ordeal and alert the people.
In his post the man claimed that he had arrived from Pune to Hyderabad by a flight that landed at the RGI Airport around 3 am. “While walking towards the Uber pickup, a cab driver approached me and asked if I
had booked an Uber.
In that moment of desperation I trusted him. He promised the same Uber fare Rs. 900, but once we reached, he charged Rs. 1500, saying I was new to the city,” he stated.Hyderabad city guide
Replying to his post several people said that they faced a similar problem at the RGI Airport. A few people suggested that approaching the Uber kioski and booking a cab is the right step, irrespective of a queue.
