Traffic Challan Helps Hyderabad Police Nab Bike Thief

The Hyderabad police nabbed a person on charges of stealing a bike from Habeebnagar three months ago. With the help of CCTVs, the police traced the person while driving the stolen bike and initiated legal action. 

The police initiated action after receiving a complaint from a person three months ago stating that his bike was stolen. “As there was no update, the complainant accepted that his bike was probably gone forever.”

“Then something unexpected happened. He received a



traffic challan. At first, he was confused. He hasn’t even seen his bike for three months but received a challan. 

Out of curiosity, he opened the challan details and checked the photo only to find his stolen bike on the road being used normally by a person.” 

“The thief’s face was clearly visible in the photo, riding the bike as if it belonged to him,” he said. After the complainant posted the stolen bike along with the rider image on ‘X’, the police traced him.
