Tollywood celebrities give up voting rights in Hyderabad

Several celebrities and prominent personalities from the film industry residing in Hyderabad have opted to retain their voting rights in their native places in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

During the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the majority of the celebrities from Tollywood and prominent people from various other industries who had voting rights in Jubilee Hills have chosen to



forego them while preferring their native places.

Confirming this, Telangana Chief Electoral Office officials said several Tollywood celebrities, including those from the big film families, have accorded prominence to their native places in Andhra Pradesh. “When our officials and BLOs reached out to them, the celebrities informed us that they wanted to retain their votes in their home towns in Andhra Pradesh.
