Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president Prof. M. Kodandaram said he was ready to work with any party to defeat the BRS, which has been adopting anti-people and anti-democratic policies for the last nine years.

Prof. Kodandaram clarified that there was no plan to merge the TJS with another party and claimed that he was misquoted on this issue when he addressed the TJS plenary held at Suryapet on

Sunday.

"What I said was TJS was ready to work with any party to defeat BRS in order to achieve 'democratic Telangana'. I never said or meant that TJS will be merged with another party," Prof. Kodandaram told.

TJS was part of 'Mahakutami' comprising Congress, TD and CPI to take on TRS (now BRS) in 2018 Assembly polls but drew a blank.
