A tiger killed two cows while they were grazing in the forests of Tiryan mandal on Tuesday, triggering panic among villagers in the surrounding areas.

Locals said the tiger mauled the cows to death deep inside the forest. They urged the Forest Department to provide compensation for the cattle

loss, saying shepherds and farmers were now living in fear following the attack. They appealed to officials to monitor the tiger’s movement closely to prevent any human casualties.

Forest officials have advised residents of Thoyaguda, Choppidi and Gonduguda villages to remain cautious.
