Gusty winds and thunderstorms were reported in several areas of Hyderabad and Cyberabad on Sunday evening. The accompanying rain also resulted in waterlogging of some main roads while in Suchitra, Kompally, Alwal, Gajularamaram, Pragathi Nagar and Quthbullapur, trees were uprooted.

According to a press release, 4 cm of rainfall was recorded in Quthbullapur, while strong winds caused trees to fall in 53 locations.

The northern part of the city received 4 cm of rain, and water stagnated on roads in eight locations. The HYDRAA team addressed the complaints and also cleared all uprooted trees by around 8.30 pm, it said.
