Three injured as APSRTC bus rams private bus in Suryapet

Three persons suffered minor injuries after an APSRTC bus rammed into a private travels bus from behind on NH 65 at Akupamula in Suryapet on Sunday morning.

The private travels bus was heading to Hyderabad from Narsapur when the accident occurred. The APSRTC bus was travelling from Eluru to Hyderabad when it hit the private bus from behind at Akupamula, according to reports.

A total



of 63 passengers were travelling in the two buses. Officials heaved a sigh of relief as there was no loss of life.

The collision was so severe that the RTC bus driver was trapped inside the cabin. Fire department and police personnel stepped in to rescue him from the damaged cabin.

The officials worked for more than two hours before safely bringing the RTC bus driver out, reports added.
