A major laptop theft at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), which was reported earlier this month, was cracked by the police within days, with three suspects arrested and the stolen property recovered on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off that the suspects were taking shelter in TNGOs Colony, a special crime team has nabbed the three suspects identified as R

Chandrasekhar, Sai Charan and Ashwin Rao.

The trio had stolen 60 laptops from the UoH premises on February 8. Following a complaint from the university management, the Gachibowli police booked a case and took up an investigation.

Police recovered two cars, all 60 stolen laptops and three mobile phones from their possession.
