A pious atmosphere prevailed at Mecca Masjid as thousands of Muslims converged at the historic mosque to attend the Namaz-e-Juma on the first Friday of Ramzan.

The prayers were led by Hafiz Maulana Mohammed Rizwan Qureshi, the Khateeb of Mecca Masjid. The believers started gathering at the mosque for the prayers from 11.30 am and the Masjid was packed around 1



pm.

People from different areas of the city came to the Mecca Masjid to attend the prayers. It is a practice among a section of Muslims to attend the Friday prayers at Mecca Masjid during Ramzan considering the fact that it is the biggest mosque in the State.

The Minority Welfare Department made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the prayers.
