A major theft was reported at the Sri Sri Sri Pochamma Temple in Khanapur, Hyderabad. Thieves allegedly broke into the temple shortly after midnight on Monday and decamped with gold and silver ornaments and cash from the hundi worth around Rs. 20 lakh. 

According to reports, the burglars also damaged the temple's CCTV cameras in an apparent



attempt to destroy evidence and avoid identification. Narsingi police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the theft and began an investigation. 

Members of the temple committee suspect that the theft may have been carried out by people familiar with the temple and its premises. Further investigation is underway.
