TGSRTC to install luggage racks in Hyderabad city buses

The city buses operating within the Greater Hyderabad (GH) region will now come with luggage racks following a decision taken by Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) to improve passenger convenience.

The facility, commonly seen in long-distance and district services, will now be introduced on a trial basis in 150 city buses. 

TGSRTC officials said the



decision was taken following repeated requests from passengers, particularly students and working professionals who often struggle to carry heavy bags when travelling in crowded buses.

Initially, luggage racks were fitted in two buses on an experimental basis and feedback was collected. Based on the response, the corporation has now begun installing racks in 150 buses as part of the first phase.
