To manage the heavy passenger movement during the Sankranti festival eve, the TGSRTC has operated nearly 5,500 special buses between January 9 and 13, to ensure smooth and safe travel for people heading to their native villages.

Key transit hubs in Hyderabad, including MGBS, JBS, Uppal, LB Nagar, KPHB and Aramghar, witnessed a steady flow of buses on Tuesday and Wednesday, supported by additional staff

and on-ground supervision by senior officers.

RTC Authorities said constant monitoring and planning helped ease congestion at major boarding points. The highest number of special services was operated on January 10, when festive travel peaked.

TGSRTC has also announced special return services on January 18 and 19 to accommodate passengers heading back to cities after the holidays.
