The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), in association with Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), has introduced a common travel pass that allows passengers to use both city buses and Metro services.

The facility is intended for passengers who depend on buses to reach Metro stations and then continue their journeys by Metro. The common pass, which will be available at all Hyderabad Metro stations, can be used on all categories of city bus services operating within the ORR, with Pushpak services excluded, as well as on Metro Rail services.

The integrated pass is expected to make transfers between buses and Metro services easier for commuters and improve last-mile connectivity from Metro stations to residential, commercial and other areas served by RTC.

TGSRTC operates an extensive city bus network carrying approximately 25 lakh passengers every day in Greater Hyderabad, while Hyderabad Metro Rail serves around 4.5 lakh passengers daily across its three corridors.

Also, the TGSRTC introduced the MeeTicket mobile application, providing passengers with an open-ticketing facility for city bus travel.

Through the app, passengers can select their boarding point, destination and ticket type, make a digital payment and obtain their ticket directly on their mobile phone. The app generates a digital ticket with a dynamic QR code which can be presented by passengers during the journey for verification by bus staff. In addition to the weekly pass, daily and monthly bus passes are also available through the MeeTicket application.
