TGSRTC Bus collided with truck in Chevella, 17 death

Atleast 17 passengers reportedly died and many others suffered serious injuries when an TGSRTC bus from Tandur depot collided with a gravel-laden truck near Mirzaguda village in Chevella in Ranga Reddy district on the Hyderabad–Bijapur National Highway on Monday.

The impact left the front portion of the bus completely damaged. About 70 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident. 

The injured were immediately



rushed to Chevella Government Hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday expressed deep condolences over the tragic bus accident at Chevella in which many passengers lost lives. 

He instructed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP Shivadhar Reddy to immediately shift the injured to Hyderabad and extend quality treatment.
