TGMDC to setup CCTV to monitor sand quarries, curb illegal transport

Collector Pamela Satpathy and Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam instructed TGMDC officials to install CCTV cameras at sand quarries to record the loading and weighing of sand. 

Cameras should also be established in record rooms wherein the details of sand lorries are being recorded. So that illegal transportation of sand would be controlled.

posts in Challur of Veenavanka mandal and Pachunur of Manakondur mandal on Monday evening.

They personally examined loading and weighting of sand at Challur TGMDC sand quarry and enquired details by interacting with staff. 

Earlier, they examined waybills and DDs at Pachunur checkpost. Instructing TGMDC staff to strictly follow government norms while loading sand in lorries, they warned to take serious action if anybody shows negligence in the issue.
