The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TG RERA) has imposed a penalty of Rs 6,45,750 on Hyderabad-based real estate firm Bhuvan Teza Infra Projects, located in Banjara Hills, for failing to register its project ‘Happy Homes’ Phase-1.
The order was issued by TG RERA chairman N Satyanarayana on July 14, following complaints from project allottees, Appam Kiran, Kumar Vanarasi Manohar Reddy, Avasarala Seeta Rama Lakshmi, and Prameela Maddula.
The complainants had invested in the ‘Happy Homes-Phase 1’ residential apartment project at Shamirpet,
promoted by the firm between 2020 and 2023 as a lucrative pre-launch offer via agents and brokers.
According to the complaint, despite repeated follow-ups, the builder failed to initiate any construction work or secure the statutory approvals that were initially promised. There was no progress on development or possession of flats.
After examining the evidence, TG RERA found the respondent guilty of non-registration and declared Bhuvan Teza Infra Projects a ‘defaulter’ both as a promoter and as an agent. The Authority levied a penalty of Rs 6,45,750.
