Commencing this academic year, the intermediate students appearing for the practical exams will not be tested in familiar lab settings with the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) deciding to implement the jumbling system.

The jumbling system means students from one junior college will be allotted a centre in another college for practical examinations, commencing February 2, 2026. So far, this practice was limited to theory examinations.

TG BIE will

initially implement this new system in government-sector junior colleges allotting students from these colleges to centres in different colleges that have all the laboratory facilities.

This new practice will enable colleges and students to overcome any challenges arising due to deficiencies in lab facilities.

“The best colleges among the government-sector ones in an area will be selected and students will be allotted a centre there,” a senior TG BIE official told media.
