Telugu Film Producers Council Elections to be held on Sept 6

The long-awaited elections to the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) are likely to be held on September 6, according to industry sources. The elections are expected to take place after the Council's General Body meeting and are likely to witness a keen contest among leading producers.

"The General Body meeting will be held first, following which the elections are expected to take place on September 6. This time, the contest is likely to be closely fought," an industry source said.

The current TFPC executive committee, elected in 2023, is headed by K.L.



Damodar Prasad as president. Industry insiders believe the upcoming polls could bring significant changes to the Council's leadership. Veteran producer C. Kalyan, who previously served as TFPC president, is among the prominent personalities who have led the Council in the past.

The present executive body comprises K. Ashok Kumar and Y. Supriya as vice-presidents, T. Prasanna Kumar who has been serving the same post for the last 17 years and Y.V.S. Chowdary as secretaries, Natti Kumar and Bharath Chowdary as joint secretaries, while T. Rama Satyanarayana serves as treasurer.
