Popular film actress Aamani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party’s state office on Saturday.
She was inducted into the party in the presence of BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, who welcomed her by draping the party scarf.
Aamani, a
popular leading actress of the 1990s, was paired opposite top actors, including Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Balakrishna, and Jagapati Babu.
She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Telugu for the film Subha Lagnam and the Nandi Award for Best Actress for the films Subha Sankalpam and Mister Pellam.
