The Transport Department services across the State came to a halt on Thursday for a few hours, allegedly due to a major technical glitch in the Vahan and Sarathi central servers.
In Rangareddy district, particularly at the Manikonda RTA Office, citizens were seen struggling for hours as essential services remained inaccessible.
Long queues formed at transport offices across various
districts and the twin cities, with vehicle owners arriving early in the morning for services such as driving licences, vehicle registration, transfers and permits. However, the non-functional central server left both officials and citizens helpless.
Transport department officers said they were unable to provide any clear information and attributed the issue to a Delhi-level technical failure, leaving applicants frustrated.
