Heatwave-like conditions are set to grip Telangana as temperatures are projected to climb to 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius in at least twelve districts from April 9, 2026.

India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, issued an orange alert (intense weather) forecast on Tuesday.

The projected sharp rise in the mercury levels is a clear indication that the weather in Hyderabad and districts of Telangana has taken a decisive turn towards the intense summer phase.

While isolated places may still witness light

to moderate rain or gusty winds up to 40 kmph over the next 48 hours, atmospheric conditions are rapidly shifting toward a dominant and stable dry weather pattern.

The maximum temperatures will range between 41 and 44 degree Celsius in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Peddapalle, Jayashankar Bhupalapalle, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal. Even in regions where temperatures remain slightly lower, a gradual rise of 2 degree to 3 degree Celsius is expected across Telangana.
