Telangana government is planning to set up Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), State Information and Technology Minister K T Rama Rao said on Monday. Addressing the gathering at the inaugural function of the 4th edition of 'August Fest', he said Telangana is no longer a startup state, but a "scale-up" state. "In western countries the research is university-based. We need to learn from the West.

The capital of Telangana is home to some 30 plus best research institutions such as CSIR, NIRD, IICT," he said. He also informed that T-Hub, a technological incubator promoted by the Telangana government for startups, will start its chapter in Silicon Valley, the home to many startups and global technology companies.
