The Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) has appealed to domestic electricity consumers to install rooftop solar systems at their homes to reduce electricity bills and contribute to environmental protection.
The Central Government’s PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to eligible domestic consumers.
TGSPDCL stated that increased adoption of solar energy would promote clean energy usage while providing consumers with an opportunity to reduce their electricity expenses.
According to TGSPDCL
data, the combined figures across these categories stood at 79,976 registrations, 62,818 installations and a total capacity of 831.872 MW.
TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh V. Patil urged eligible domestic consumers to make full use of the Central subsidy available under the PM Surya Ghar scheme and install rooftop solar systems at their homes.
He stated, “TGSPDCL is continuously taking measures to create awareness about the scheme and simplify the application process. Every domestic consumer should become a partner in promoting clean energy while reducing the burden of electricity bills.”
