Telangana Police have advised the public to remain vigilant against cyber fraud and ignore fake messages claiming that their bank accounts will be blocked if they fail to update their Aadhaar details.

In an advisory, the police said people should not click on links sent through such messages or download any APK files, as cybercriminals are using them to steal personal and banking information.

The police urged the public to rely only on official

bank websites or visit their nearest bank branch for any Aadhaar or banking-related updates.

They also cautioned people against sharing their OTPs, passwords, PINs, or other confidential banking details with anyone.

Citizens have been asked to report cyber fraud immediately by calling the national cybercrime helpline 1930 or by visiting the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at https://cybercrime.gov.in
