The Municipal Administration Department has launched the ‘Bill One’ service, which enables citizens to pay multiple municipal dues through a single platform.
The Secretary, Municipal Administration Department, and Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (C&DMA), TK Sreedevi, who launched the initiative, said that citizens could pay property tax, water charges and trade licence fees together in one transaction, eliminating the need for separate payments.
Bill One would generate a consolidated demand notice for all the municipal services assigned to the PTIN
number, including property tax, water charges, and trade license.
Even if a person had multiple properties, these would be shown in a single notice instead of raising multiple demand notices. It also reduced the burden on the municipality to generate multiple demand notices for various services, including water charges and trade licenses.
The initiative also reduces multiple visits to collect different taxes and fees and allows taxpayers to pay in part and also in instalments based on their convenience, providing greater financial flexibility while ensuring timely payment of municipal dues.
