With the local court dismissing the bail petition filed by the three accused in connection with the land scam case of Kukatpally, Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials are set to register cases and intensify the probe.

The local court on Friday dismissed the bail plea filed by the accused — Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao, Kukatpally sub-registrar; Ponnakula Sanjeeva Parthasarathi, director of Trinity Infra Ventures; and Peruphotla Venkatarama Sanjeevaraya Sharma, general manager of Gold Stone Infratech and director of Suvishal Power Generation Limited, in connection with the case after hearing arguments.

The police filed a petition before the district court seeking custody of the three accused for questioning. The district court would give an order on the petition on Saturday.“Had the accused obtained bail, the police

would have to conduct further probe. As the court dismissed the bail pleas, we will intensify the probe by collecting more details from the law and order police,” sources

“Gold Stone owner PS Prasad’s wife P Indrani Prasad and his daughter Mahitha Caddel and other accused are still at large. The CID teams, along with the law and order police, will arrest them,” the officials said.
Meanwhile, the Balanagar police, who arrested Balanagar sub-registrar Mohammed Yousuf, Mohammed Mubrajuddin and Dasari Krishna Reddy in the land scam, filed a petition before the Miyapur court on Friday seeking eight days’ police custody of the three accused for questioning.

The court posted the case for further hearing by issuing a notice to the accused and asking them to file a counter.
