‘Telangana Kesari’ wrestling competition at Telangana Bhavan on July 24

BRSLP deputy leader and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Wednesday announced that the ‘Telangana Kesari’ wrestling competition will be held at Telangana Bhavan on July 24. BRS working president KT Rama Rao will be the chief guest.

Along with Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, Srinivas Yadav inspected the arrangements and held a meeting with wrestlers and gymnasium operators.

Speaking to mediapersons on the occasion, Srinivas Yadav said the Talasani Trust was taking



several steps to promote the traditional sport. He announced that the Trust would provide tracksuits, shoes and transport allowance to wrestlers participating in national-level competitions. It would also supply wrestling mats to 70 akhadas across the State to improve training facilities.

The senior BRS leader said Telangana wrestlers have brought laurels by winning medals at national competitions and stressed the need to preserve the sport’s rich legacy through continued support and better infrastructure.
