Justice Juvvadi Sridevi of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday adjourned to July 6 the batch of petitions concerning the State’s fee reimbursement policy and directed that the interim orders passed earlier in the matter would continue until the next date of hearing.

The petitions have been filed by private engineering and pharmacy colleges challenging certain provisions of G.O.Ms. No. 9, including those restraining institutions from collecting fees from students pending

reimbursement by the State government.

During the previous hearing, the court had temporarily suspended the operation of four clauses of G.O.Ms. No. 9 after expressing concern over the financial difficulties faced by educational institutions due to mounting reimbursement arrears and the restrictions on fee collection. On Tuesday, the court clarified that the interim protection granted earlier would remain in force until July 6, when the matter is next taken up for hearing.
