The Telangana government has announced a 50% increase in user charges for services provided through Mee Seva centres, with the revised rates coming into effect from April 1.

In addition to the hike, an 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) will now be levied on these services, pushing the overall cost burden on applicants

to nearly 77–78%.

Under the new structure, Category-A services have been increased from Rs 35 to Rs 62, while Category-B services now cost Rs 80, up from Rs 45. Category-A services typically do not require departmental verification, whereas Category-B services involve scrutiny by concerned departments.
