Telangana govt hikes DA by 2.1 pc for TGSRTC employees

In a relief to employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) employees, the State government has announced a 2.1 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for the calendar year 2026.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday said the DA has been raised from 50.7 per cent to 52.8 per cent, with effect from January



1, 2026. The revised allowance will benefit all RTC employees across Telangana.

The minister further said that the government will clear arrears for the past three months through supplementary bills, to be paid over the coming months. The DA hike is expected to impose an additional monthly financial burden of Rs 2.82 crore on the corporation.
