Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday inaugurated the Puligundala Eco-Tourism Project in Sathupalli constituency of Khammam district. 

On the occasion, he also launched the cottages, boating facilities and jungle safari developed as part of the project. 

Later, addressing a public meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister spoke on the significance of eco-tourism



development.

Telangana government is giving top priority to the tourism sector, with a clear vision to showcase Telangana’s natural beauty to the world.

He recalled that eco-tourism development was clearly emphasized in the very first budget presented after the formation of the people’s government. Funds have already been allocated in the budget to develop the Kanakagiri area in Khammam district as a tourist destination.
