Telangana govt employees flag pay, promotion issues amid growing unrest

Employees from different key departments are unhappy with the government and have expressed their concerns and reservations over a few issues, including pay scales and promotions.

Government employees had staged lunch hour demonstration on April 17, demanding second PRC implementation from June 2 and others. TGSRTC employees conducted their strike from April 22 to 24 in support of their demands like merger of RTC with



the government.

And now, Panchayat Secretaries and Energy departments have submitted representations to the government demanding to address their issues.

Amidst the Energy department’s intensified efforts to get clearances for establishing the TGRPDCL, the Telangana State Power Employees Joint Action Committee (TGPEJAC) demanded the department to share the modalities of the proposed new Discom.
