Telangana govt bans plastic bottles, cups in civic bodies

Telangana government on Wednesday banned plastic cups, glasses, bottles and other items in all municipal bodies across Telangana.

The municipal administration and urban development department issued a GO, instructing all the urban local bodies



to enforce strict ban on single use of plastic in their offices. Consuming drinking water in plastic bottles and tetra bottles, single use straws, plastic tea cups and any form of plastic, including covers, has been banned.
