Telangana Govt Appoints Hanumantha Rao as BC Welfare Advisor

The State government has appointed senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao (VHR) as Advisor to Government, BC Welfare and Development in the rank and status of Minister of State. 

Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao issued an order to this effect. Rao is a veteran Indian National Congress leader



from Telangana with a political career spanning over 50 years. 

A former Rajya Sabha MP between 2004 and 2016 and MLA, he has served as a senior leader in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana politics, known for his work with the youth congress and as a strong loyalist to the Gandhi family.
