The government has passed the orders on Wednesday releasing Rs 83 crore for the paying salaries of Anganwadi workers. The workers approached the Minister for women and child welfare, Satyavati Rathod and have complained that their salaries were delayed by two months.

A day after the workers submitted a representation to the minister, the government passed the orders to release the salaries ahead of Dasara. It is learned that the minister brought the issue to the notice of the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who responded swiftly and released the salaries.
