Telangana Cricket Association releases calendar to promote cricket

The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) on Thursday announced the rollout of its 12th consecutive Annual Domestic Cricket Calendar, aimed at systematic preparation of Telangana State teams for participation in the BCCI Domestic Tournaments for the 2026–27 season.

“This initiative is in line with the BCCI directive dated July 11, 2021, which emphasised coordination in game promotion and transparent selection of state teams from districts,” TCA general secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy said.

light of the continued non-compliance by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) with these directives, TCA has resolved to independently organise and field Telangana State teams for the upcoming domestic season, ensuring that the sporting interests of Telangana cricketers are not compromised,” he said.

The calendar has been designed to align all tournaments, selection procedures and playing conditions strictly within the BCCI framework, reflecting TCA’s intent to participate in the BCCI Domestic Season 2026–27.
