Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy on Sunday clarified that failure to submit filled-in enumeration form to the respective Booth Level Officer (BLO), as part of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process, could result in the removal of the voter’s name from the electoral rolls as per the ECI guidelines. He appealed to the electors to voluntarily cooperate by submitting their completed forms.

Sudarshan Reddy, along with Rangareddy district collector and district election officer C Narayana Reddy here on Sunday inspected the distribution, collection and digitisation of enumeration forms as

part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

During the meeting with officials concerned, Sudarshan Reddy directed them to create awareness among the voters that non-submission of the enumeration form could result in deletion of a voter’s name from the electoral roll.

The Telangana CEO also instructed them to ensure that every eligible voter receives the enumeration form. The BLOs were asked to visit every household, assist voters in filling out the forms and scrutinise them besides completing the digitisation process within the timeline.
